Newport Outing: November 3rd
Despite Rhode Island being the smallest state in US, it is known as the "Ocean State" for its 400 miles (643 km) of
coastline. Newport, Rhode Island is one of the most scenic cities in Rhode Island, known for its stunning ocean
views and rich history. The city was a summer home to many of America’s wealthiest families during the late 19th
and early 20th centuries, and now holds a collection of breath-taking, well-maintained mansions. Running alongside the
Breaker's Mansion is the well-known
Newport Cliff Walk, a beautiful 3.5 mile
(5.6 km) walking trail that stretches along the shoreline of Newport.
On Sunday, November 3rd, the day before the conference begins, there will be a bus to take people to Newport for the
day. The trip will give people a few hours to explore Newport, experience local cuisine, and walk the Newport Cliff Walk.
The bus will also bring people to a walking tour of the
Breaker's Mansions. The Newport Outing
is automatically included with the purchase of a full registration.
